Sambika is a chocolate-making brand, but above all, it's a long-standing project with the ambition of showcasing Madagascar internationally. How? Through a variety of premium products made from carefully selected local ingredients and raw materials.
Sambika is also a name that honors a mythical river in northwestern Madagascar, in a region imbued with the sweet aroma of local cacao.
The Foundress
The story of Sambika began with the journey of Naïma Meralli-Ballou Ismaël. Naïma is a self-taught individual with a deep passion for fine gastronomy.
After ten years abroad, she decided to return home and launch her own pastry business in 2013. She started with the creation of DITÉ, driven by the desire to promote the values she holds dear: making a real difference and creating a genuine impact.
She then turned her attention to the craft of chocolate making and decided to launch Sambika, a project resulting from years of passion, research, and refinement.

The Sambika team is made up of collaborators from diverse backgrounds, united by a common goal: to grow and make their mark in the world of chocolate.From varied origins and cultures, most of them have been part of the Sambika adventure since the very beginning. For some, it's even their first professional experience!
Sambika School
The recently established Sambika School brings together a range of programs, as well as support and guidance workshops. These have been developed to support Sambika employees throughout their careers, fostering a fulfilling professional life.
The Sambika School regularly offers introductory and skills-based training courses to reinforce participants' existing knowledge and develop new skills.
